The purpose of this study was to determine the meaning Silampari kayangan Tinggidance which is maintained by clear community in city Lubuklinggau. This research methodis qualitative with a descriptive approach interview, observation, documentation, literature study.The subjects consisted actors and observers Kayangan Tinggi danceusing Roland Barthes' semiotic theory as theoretical basis entitled ofthe semiotics high silampari dance communityin Judging from denotation motion silamparidance, it combination movements human body creating that containaesthetic deni motion, besides contains form interaction between contents thatis poured out choreographer audience, namely invited guests. In connotation there isa figurative implied values descriptions Lubuklinggaucity community, beliefs, customs life arrangements ways respecting other people. Basedon results research, concluded atraditional South Sumatra region originating City Lubuklinggau whichhas existed since ancient times still functions welcoming for ofLubuklinggau. adopted folklore Lubuklinggauwhere believed exist but does not know truth, so myth hasdeveloped society generation generation.
